Anyone who saw him live in the Croatia v Argie game at UP last season would sign him in a heartbeat.
Absolutely fearless and kept going whatever the Argentinian defenders threw at him.
He does physically look like Modric who like Silva and Cazorla were shortarses who absolutely ran us ragged over the last few seasons. Mata is another one
Modric leaving Spurs was a great day. He was just far too good for us to deal with

I can't get my head round this running theme that keeps coming up on here about players being too small and lightweight.
Have I imagined the last 5 to 10 years when Barcelona & Spain have dominated world football with a team of midgets?

If Barca have a say in it they may be happier if he goes to a Premiership team (with European football) where he may play a fair bit. And that is no threat to them

Not sure if you've watched us inter last four season but we didn't exactly play likes either of those teams
I agree that it's ridiculous to suggest because a player is lightweight we shouldn't sign him look how benayoun performed for us
But people have had shit football and even shitter reasons why we had to play that football drummed into them for four years and clearly they've started to believe it

We may get him if he sees us as a club where he has a good chance of playing most games. That would be seen as the way to develop as a player by playing games. In other words,he may well see us as a great stepping stone and if things go well who knows, he may stay anyway.
Now putting my miserable 55 year West Ham supporter head on.... no fvckin chance ! :-)

I agree North, we've played nothing like them, my point was more that you you have to be a 6ft gym bunny to be a good player seems to be taken as given by some on here. I read someone say Morrison needed to bulk up, when that is showing a fundamental lack of understanding about what the lad's game is about. He's only problem is in his head.
I'd give Collison as a prime example of someone who bulked up and it made his game weaker. I know the knee finished him off, but when he was more streamline he glided on the pitch, he bulked up and looked cumbersome.

Saw this kid at Croatia v Argentina at Upton park. Bar messi, this kid was the most technically gifted player on the pitch. Really hope this happens.
